Hidden Head Rigging
Jig heads with a lead head that slips inside the hollow cavity of the lure are popular for tube type baits. The head molded below is from a Do-It jig mold. Model Tube TX: Stock Number 473219. The hook we used was a Mustad 32786 BLN. If you want to make this type of rig weedless, attach a stainless snap on coil to the eye of the jig head and use a small piece of plastic worm to make it weedless. In the picture below we used a small section of a Split Tail Trailer to make it weedless. This arrangement works very well in heavy cover and can be used on nearly any jig head.
